ScummVM support?

Wird BF 2.5 auch mit ScummVM laufen?Das wäre echt cool da ich es dann auf der XBox spielen könnte :)

Bis jetzt ist es wohl nicht geplant, aber die Leute im ScummVM IRC haben mir gerade gesagt, dass sie neue (nicht-SCUMM basierende Spiele) durchaus integrieren würden, wenn jemand den Code dafür zur sponsort.

Im Prinzip läuft es auf eine Re-Implementation der Engine, an ScummVM angepasst hinaus.

Kommt wohl darauf an, wie viel Code man übernehmen kann, und wieviel neu geschrieben werden muss.

Wird sich denn das BS2.5 Team darum bemühen dass das Spiel von ScummVM unterstützt wird?
Das wäre echt der Hammer.Dann könnte ich es auf der XBox spielen :)
Mich würde auch noch interessieren wie groß das Spiel werden wird wenn es fertig ist.Vielleicht 2CD´s wie Teil 1 und 2?

wenn man den source in scummvm integrieren würde, müsste man alles ausser logic & filehandling re-implementieren (sound, video etc nach SDL...), da scummvm plattform-unabhängig designed ist... das wäre ein ar*** voll arbeit!

...wär echt ne idee, da ich linuxler bin und eigentlich nicht in einer virtuellen maschine spielen mag!

Es wäre eine Vorreiterrolle! Ich denke es würden auch viele andere x.5 Projekte folgen = o)

Sorry but i don't speak nor understand German :cry:
I'm really interested in a Linux release of the game, I read in the FAQ page that there's already a thought about it, but it would be good also playing the game via the SCUMMvm.
Could you please write in English if it'll be supported?

Well, the answer is bascically: It's not planned at this point, as it would require a major rewrite of the engine. But who knows...if there is enough interest, it may, perhaps, happen.
