Hey,

there's only one thing I can say: it's going to be released when it's done ;)
"When will it be finished?" - you may wonder. There's only one thing to say, too: it's done when it's done ;)

No, I do not agree. I'd say that there's about 80 percents that our game will be released. Why am I saying that? For a couple of reasons:
1. there has been done too much to throw everything to a trash bin;
2. all members are really keen on releasing the game and some of us are ready to do lots of things just to see it done.

Why don't we know when it will be done and why is it taking so long? Because we all have other occupations (schools, universities, jobs) and only develop the game when we have free time. What's more, there always happens to be problems in our personal life (I guess everyone has them), so sometimes one or two things that are in development simply stop for a while. Secondly, most of us are only amateurs, so the work takes more time than it would take professionals.

All in all, please understand us. What we need is support, not frustration.

Thank you,
Sarunas

You are right Domino. Neither I like the long wait, but if I have to wait a year, I'll wait... This is a long awaited game, and very desired, so keep the good work and go on... :) You are doing a great and incredible work, and I understand the delay....

Has anyone from the Broken Sword 2.5 development team asked help from the makers of Broken Sword 1 & 2?
Maybe the Revolution programmers are willing to assist in that project...

Actually they know about the project and even provided the team with the original charcter sprites of George Stobbart (although those did not have the right solution so they made their own ones).

Yes, I've contacted the staff of Broken Sword 1 & 2. Unfortunately, they have no time to provide us. :( But we manage the development very good without their help, I think. 8)

Take your time guys! I've just discovered the project and the previews are wonderful. you've caught the spirit, you're very talented, and you're on the right track to make this game the best fan game ever. No matter the date of the release, you must do your best and not regret anything after the game is complete. May the force be with you, those who deserve the game will wait!

That's completely correct. We will wait (as long as you keep working ).
I think the fans can stop asking about the date of release. The members said often enough that it is not possible to say anything about that.
As soon as there is any progress which is worth to be mentioned, they will write it in the news, I'm sure.

Long time, no see

Postby Maaatt » 24. September 2005, 13:01

Last time i was here i was carefree and my life was full of boredom. I came here because i'm a fan of the Broken Sword series as many of you all are.

Back then the status of the game was very much the same as what it is now and i'm not disappointed. Not at all. I believe that it will be released but i dont know when and it doesnt worry me so much. I'm just happy there is an active Broken Sword game in development that is 2D.

You should be patting the team on the back for working on this fan-game instead of having a go at them for not sticking to their original, yet not in-stone, deadlines.

Im one of those care-free, easy-going, "its done when its done" kind of guys. I'm happy at any outcome and i'm proud of the work the team has done to this day.

2 years, 3 years? I dont think it should matter how long the game has taken because we all still have something to look forward to. Once BS4 and BS2.5 are done what can we look forward to? Perhaps nothing, hopefully not.

Apologies for the novel
